1. Overview and Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to LenaPDF: PDF Editor (the “App”), related support services, privacy requests and this privacy webpage. The App is developed and operated by Lenatek Yazılım Medya Limited Şirketi (“Lenatek”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
LenaPDF is a document utility designed to let users create, view, edit, convert, organize, protect, compress, merge, split, extract from, share and print PDF documents.
Depending on the feature used, the App may work with PDFs, photos, images, text files, spreadsheet files, ZIP archives, QR codes and barcodes.
2. Local and On-Device Document Processing
This means that ordinary PDF editing, conversion, merging, splitting, compression, image extraction, text extraction and related document operations are intended to use the document files available on your device rather than uploading them to Lenatek solely for processing.
Local processing does not mean that no network communication ever occurs. Advertising, app-store, printing, sharing or third-party technical services may use the internet independently of document processing.
3. Information the App May Process

4. PDF, File and Storage Access
LenaPDF may need access to files that you select in order to open, convert, edit or save documents. Depending on Android version, the App may use the system file picker, media picker, scoped storage or other Android storage mechanisms.
File access is intended to be limited to what is needed for user-requested document operations. The App is not designed to inspect unrelated files that you have not selected or that are not needed for a feature you initiate.
Supported operations may include:
- opening and viewing PDF files;
- merging multiple PDFs;
- splitting PDFs by page range;
- rotating pages;
- compressing PDF files;
- extracting text or images;
- adding watermarks;
- removing duplicate pages;
- protecting PDFs with passwords;
- saving generated or edited documents.
5. Images, Gallery and Camera
LenaPDF may allow you to select images from your gallery or take a photo with the camera in order to create a PDF.
If you choose the camera option, the App may request camera permission so that you can capture an image for immediate document creation. Camera access should occur only when you use a camera-based feature.
Selected images may be edited locally before conversion. Supported tools can include cropping, filters, brightness/contrast adjustment, drawing and highlighting.
We do not intentionally provide the contents of your selected document images to advertising providers merely because an advertisement is displayed in the App.
6. PDF Creation and Conversion Tools
Depending on the App version, LenaPDF may support local conversions such as:
Files selected for these conversion features are processed to generate the requested PDF output. Generated documents may then be saved to a location permitted by Android or selected by you.
Conversion accuracy can vary depending on source-file format, encoding, spreadsheet complexity, embedded fonts, images and other technical characteristics.
7. Editing and Document Management Tools
LenaPDF may locally process a document to apply editing and management actions such as:
- merge and split;
- page rotation;
- watermark insertion;
- compression;
- color inversion for supported viewing/output;
- duplicate-page detection/removal;
- text extraction;
- image extraction;
- image editing before PDF creation;
- history/favorites management.
Some operations may create temporary files while processing. Temporary files may be removed or replaced during normal App operation, storage cleanup or when the App is uninstalled.
8. Password Protection and Protected Documents
LenaPDF may allow you to add password protection to a PDF or remove protection from a PDF where you are authorized to do so and know the required credentials.
Any password you enter for a user-requested document operation should be used only as necessary to perform that operation. Do not use the App to circumvent document security or access documents without authorization.
Keep document passwords secure. A password-protected PDF can still be exposed if you share the password, use a weak password or store the document in an insecure location.
9. QR Code and Barcode Scanning
If you use QR or barcode scanning, the App may use the device camera to read a code that you intentionally scan.
The decoded content can then be used to create or populate a PDF document. Do not scan codes from untrusted sources if you do not understand the content they may contain.
Camera access for QR/barcode scanning is intended for the scan you initiate and is not intended for continuous background recording.
10. History, Favorites and Local Preferences
LenaPDF may store recent operations, favorite tools or other preferences locally so you can quickly return to frequently used functions.
Local information may include:
- recently processed file references;
- favorite tools;
- theme and display preferences;
- reading orientation;
- temporary document-processing state;
- output naming or save-location preferences.
Clearing App storage or uninstalling the App may remove this local information, subject to Android backup behavior.
11. Sharing, Printing and Third-Party Destinations
LenaPDF may allow you to share a document through Android's share interface, another installed app, email, messaging, cloud storage or other destination that you choose.
When you share a document, the selected receiving app or service becomes responsible for the copy of the file it receives under its own privacy terms.
Printing may involve Android print services, a printer, Wi-Fi/local-network communication or a third-party print provider. The receiving print service may process document data necessary to complete the print job.
12. Device Permissions
Depending on Android version and the feature you use, LenaPDF may request access or permissions related to:
- Photos/images/media: to select images for PDF creation or save extracted/generated media;
- Files/storage: to open and save supported document files using Android-supported mechanisms;
- Camera: to capture a photo for PDF creation or scan QR/barcodes;
- Network access: for advertising, platform services, printing or other online technical functionality;
- Other narrowly scoped Android access: only where necessary for a documented App feature.
You can review and revoke permissions in Android settings. Revoking a permission may disable the feature that depends on it.
13. Location Information and Device Identifiers
PDF editing itself does not require LenaPDF to know your precise physical location. However, the current Google Play Data Safety disclosure states that Location and Device or other IDs may be collected and shared with third parties.
These categories may be processed by advertising, measurement, fraud-prevention or other technical services. Examples include:
- approximate location derived from IP address;
- advertising identifiers;
- app instance or device/app identifiers;
- device/network information used by an integrated SDK;
- fraud-prevention or ad-measurement signals.
LenaPDF does not need continuous precise GPS tracking to merge, split, convert, compress or edit a PDF.
14. Advertising
The current Google Play listing indicates that LenaPDF contains advertising. Advertising providers may process technical information needed to serve, measure, limit and protect ads.
This may include:
- advertising identifiers or similar app/device identifiers;
- IP address and approximate location derived from network information;
- device model, Android version, language and App version;
- ad impressions, clicks or other interactions;
- fraud-prevention and security signals;
- consent state and advertising/privacy choices.
15. Diagnostics, Crash Reporting and Performance
Depending on technical services enabled in the App, limited diagnostic information may be processed to identify crashes, conversion failures, file-format errors, rendering problems or compatibility issues.
This can include:
- App and Android version;
- device model and hardware characteristics;
- crash and exception information;
- ANR/freeze information;
- file-format or conversion errors;
- memory/performance information;
- technical events and pseudonymous identifiers.
Diagnostic services should not require the full private contents of your PDF solely to report a crash or technical failure.
16. Data Retention
Documents and generated output stored on your device generally remain until you delete them, overwrite them or Android/storage-management tools remove them.
Local history, favorites, preferences and temporary files may remain until changed, cleared or removed with the App.
Advertising or technical providers may apply their own retention periods to data they process.
Support/privacy communications sent directly to us may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and demonstrate compliance.
17. Security and Document Privacy
LenaPDF is designed to perform ordinary document conversion and editing locally on the device, reducing the need to send private document contents to Lenatek servers for those core operations.
The current Google Play Data Safety disclosure states that data is not encrypted. For that reason, this Policy does not claim that every item of data handled by every SDK, network path, sharing destination or third-party provider is always encrypted in every circumstance.
Protect sensitive documents with appropriate device security, strong passwords and trusted storage and sharing destinations. No mobile application, storage environment or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
18. Children’s Privacy
LenaPDF is a general-purpose productivity and document utility. We do not knowingly design its ordinary functionality to request unnecessary personal information from children.
Parents or guardians should supervise a child's use of document-sharing, camera and file-access features, especially when documents contain personal or school-related information.
19. International Data Transfers
Advertising, platform, printing or technical service providers may operate in countries different from your country of residence. Information processed by those third-party services may therefore be transferred or processed internationally.
Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards, appropriate legal or contractual mechanisms may be used.
20. Your Privacy Rights and Controls
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights concerning identifiable personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent.
You can also manage much of LenaPDF's local data directly by:
- deleting PDF files or generated output from your device;
- deleting extracted images or text files;
- clearing recent history or favorites where supported;
- revoking camera or media/file permissions;
- clearing App storage or uninstalling the App;
- managing Android advertising/privacy settings;
- using the privacy/deletion request form below.
21. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests
Local documents
PDF files, images, extracted content and generated documents stored on your device should generally be deleted directly from LenaPDF, Gallery, Files or the storage location in which they were saved.
Local App data
History, favorites, preferences and temporary App data can generally be removed using available in-App controls, clearing App storage or uninstalling the App.
Identifiable data handled by us or service providers
If you want us to review and delete identifiable information that may be under our control, submit the form below. We may need limited information such as an app/device identifier or support email to locate the relevant record.
Third-party data
Information independently controlled by Google, an advertising provider, print provider, cloud provider or another third party may need to be managed through that provider's own privacy controls.
What may be retained
Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or protection of legal rights.
Request processing
We aim to review verified privacy and deletion requests without undue delay and within any timeframe required by applicable law. Verification, third-party control, technical limitations or lawful retention requirements may affect the scope or timing of deletion.
22. Third-Party Platforms and Service Providers
Depending on App version, region and enabled functionality, LenaPDF may interact with third-party services used for Android distribution, advertising, printing, sharing, diagnostics or other technical functions.
These can include categories such as:
- Google Play / Google Play services for Android distribution and platform functionality;
- Advertising providers where ads are enabled;
- Print services or printer providers when you choose to print a document;
- Apps/services selected through Android sharing when you intentionally share a file;
- Technical or crash-reporting providers where such services are enabled.
Third-party providers may process information under their own privacy policies when acting independently. Review the privacy information provided by the relevant platform or service.
23. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on one or more of the following:
- Performance of requested functionality: to open, create, edit, convert, split, merge, compress, protect, share or print documents when you choose those functions.
- Consent: where required for camera, media/file access, personalized advertising, tracking or optional processing.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, diagnose technical problems and improve reliability where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: where processing or retention is required by applicable law.
24. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if LenaPDF's document tools, permissions, SDKs, data practices, legal requirements or app-store rules change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when this Policy changes. If document processing changes from local processing to server-side processing in a future version, this Policy and the relevant store disclosures should be updated before or when that change takes effect.
