Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lenatek Yazılım Medya Limited Şirketi handles information in connection with Nidaa – Prayer Times & Azan, including prayer-time calculations, Qibla functionality, notifications, Quran audio, Dhikr/Tasbih features, advertising, purchases and related services.

Effective: October 1, 2026 Last updated: October 1, 2026 Developer: Lenatek Yazılım Medya Limited Şirketi

1. Overview and Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Nidaa – Prayer Times & Azan (the “App”), related online services, support communications, privacy requests and this privacy webpage. The App is developed and operated by Lenatek Yazılım Medya Limited Şirketi (“Lenatek”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Nidaa is an Islamic utility application that provides prayer times, Azan/Athan/Adhan notifications, Qibla direction, Quran audio recitations, Dhikr and Tasbih reminders, supported prayer calculation methods and offline access to certain prayer information.

Our goal is to process only the information reasonably necessary to provide these features, maintain app functionality, protect the App against abuse, deliver advertisements where enabled, verify purchases, diagnose problems and comply with applicable laws and platform requirements.

Feature-dependent processing: Some data practices described in this Policy occur only when you use the relevant feature, grant the relevant permission or use a version of the App in which a particular service is enabled.

Data we do not ordinarily request

Nidaa is not designed to require your contacts, SMS messages, call history, microphone recordings, camera images, health records, financial account credentials or government identification documents for its ordinary prayer-time, Qibla, Quran, Dhikr or reminder functionality.

3. Location Information, Prayer Times and Qibla

Location is an important functional input for Nidaa because prayer times and the Qibla direction depend on your geographic position.

How location may be obtained

  • automatically from your device after you grant location permission;
  • from an approximate location, where the operating system allows you to provide approximate rather than precise location;
  • from a city or location you manually select or enter, where manual location selection is supported;
  • from network-derived information needed to provide online services, such as an IP address.

How location is used

  • to determine daily Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha times;
  • to apply the selected prayer-time calculation method to your geographic position;
  • to determine the bearing toward the Kaaba in Makkah for Qibla functionality;
  • to provide location-relevant settings and improve functional accuracy;
  • where advertising is enabled, certain advertising providers may process location-related information as described in Section 10.

You can control location permission through your device settings. If you deny or revoke location permission, location-dependent features may be less accurate or may require manual location selection.

Location accuracy: Prayer times and Qibla calculations can also be affected by the selected calculation method, device clock/time zone, compass calibration, magnetic interference, manual adjustments and local religious authority practices. Nidaa should therefore be used as a digital assistance tool, and users may compare results with their trusted local authority or mosque when appropriate.

4. Device Sensors and Qibla Compass

The Qibla compass may use device sensors such as the magnetometer, accelerometer, gyroscope or other orientation-related sensors supported by your device. These sensor readings help calculate and display the direction in which your device is pointing.

Sensor values used for compass functionality are generally processed on-device and transiently. Nidaa does not need to build a permanent history of your physical device orientation in order to provide normal Qibla compass functionality.

Compass accuracy can be affected by magnetic cases, metal objects, electronic devices, vehicles, buildings and the calibration state of your device sensors.

5. Prayer-Time Calculations

Nidaa may use your selected location, time zone, prayer calculation method and user-selected adjustments to calculate or display daily prayer times.

Supported methods may include, depending on App version:

Turkey Diyanet Muslim World League (MWL) ISNA Egyptian General Authority of Survey Other supported methods

Prayer-time preferences can be stored locally so that the App can remember your selections and make portions of your prayer schedule available without an active internet connection.

6. Azan, Prayer, Dhikr and Tasbih Notifications

If you enable notifications, Nidaa may schedule local notifications or use supported notification services to remind you about prayer times, Dhikr or Tasbih at times you select.

Notification-related settings may include which prayers are enabled, the selected alert or Azan sound, reminder timing and whether specific Dhikr/Tasbih reminders are active.

Your operating system controls whether Nidaa is allowed to display notifications. You can change or disable notification permission at any time through your device settings or, where available, through Nidaa's in-app settings.

7. Quran Audio Recitations

Nidaa may provide Quran audio recitations from available reciters. Audio content may be streamed, downloaded or accessed through network infrastructure depending on the App version and the feature used.

When audio is requested over the internet, the server or content-delivery provider involved in serving that content may necessarily receive technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested file and device/network information required to deliver the audio.

Nidaa may remember playback-related preferences locally, such as the selected reciter or other player options, where necessary to provide a consistent listening experience.

8. Dhikr and Tasbih Features

Dhikr and Tasbih features may store reminder schedules, counters, preferences or related settings on your device. Unless a particular feature explicitly synchronizes information online, ordinary local Dhikr/Tasbih settings can remain on-device.

You can remove local Dhikr/Tasbih data by using relevant in-app reset/delete controls where available, or by clearing App storage/uninstalling the App, subject to your device platform's behavior.

9. Offline Functionality and Local Storage

Nidaa is designed to make certain information, including previously calculated or stored prayer schedules, available without a continuous internet connection.

Local storage may include:

  • selected city or last known functional location used for prayer calculations;
  • prayer calculation method and manual adjustments;
  • notification and Azan preferences;
  • language, theme and general App settings;
  • cached prayer schedule information;
  • Dhikr/Tasbih reminder settings or counters;
  • audio-related cache or playback settings where supported.

Clearing Nidaa's storage or uninstalling the App can remove local information that has not been backed up or stored by a separate service. Some platform-level records, purchase records, advertising data or third-party records may be controlled by the relevant platform/provider rather than by the App's local storage.

10. Advertising and Advertising Identifiers

The current Google Play version of Nidaa may contain advertising. Where advertising is enabled, an ad provider may process information required to serve, measure and protect advertisements.

This may include:

  • advertising identifiers or similar app/device identifiers;
  • device type, operating system, language and App version;
  • IP address and approximate location derived from network information;
  • ad impressions, clicks or other ad interaction events;
  • fraud-prevention and security signals;
  • privacy consent choices and whether personalized advertising is permitted.

Where required by applicable law or platform rules, Nidaa or an advertising consent interface may ask for your consent before certain personalized advertising or tracking practices are used.

You may also have controls in Android, iOS or your platform account to limit advertising personalization, reset an advertising identifier, manage tracking permissions or change consent choices.

11. In-App Purchases

Nidaa may offer in-app purchases through Google Play, the Apple App Store or another authorized platform store. The applicable store provider processes your payment method.

We do not receive your full payment-card number, bank login or full billing credentials from Google or Apple. We may process limited transaction-related information such as a product identifier, order or transaction ID, purchase token, receipt status and entitlement status in order to:

  • verify that a purchase is valid;
  • activate purchased functionality;
  • restore a prior purchase where supported;
  • prevent purchase fraud or abuse;
  • respond to purchase-related support requests.

Refunds, payment disputes and subscription management, where applicable, may also be governed by the relevant app-store provider's terms and account settings.

12. Analytics, Diagnostics and App Performance

Nidaa may use analytics, crash-reporting or performance tools to understand whether the App functions correctly and to identify technical problems.

Depending on the service enabled in a particular App version, this may involve:

  • crash and exception information;
  • ANR, freeze or performance information;
  • App version and device model;
  • operating-system version and language;
  • anonymous or pseudonymous event identifiers;
  • technical events related to feature usage, errors or network requests.

We use this information for debugging, quality assurance, security, compatibility and performance improvement rather than to determine or evaluate your religious beliefs or practices.

13. When Information May Be Shared

Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Depending on the App version and features used, recipients can include:

  • Advertising providers for ad delivery, measurement, consent handling and fraud prevention where ads are enabled;
  • Analytics and diagnostics providers for crash reporting, performance monitoring and technical analytics where enabled;
  • Hosting, content-delivery and infrastructure providers where online content or services are delivered;
  • Google Play and Apple App Store for app distribution, purchase processing, entitlement verification and platform security;
  • Authorities or professional advisers where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or security;
  • A successor entity if the App or related business is transferred, reorganized or acquired, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary operation of Nidaa. Advertising-related processing, where used, is governed by the relevant consent choices, provider practices and applicable law.

14. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, including providing App functionality, addressing technical problems, protecting against abuse, handling transactions, resolving disputes and complying with legal obligations.

Retention periods vary by data type. For example:

  • local settings may remain on your device until you change them, clear App data or uninstall Nidaa;
  • technical logs may be retained for a limited operational period;
  • purchase and transaction records may be retained where necessary for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations;
  • privacy-request records may be retained to demonstrate that a request was handled;
  • backup copies may remain for a limited backup-cycle period before being overwritten.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize or aggregate it, subject to legitimate retention requirements.

15. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, accidental loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include restricted administrative access, access controls, secure software practices, provider security controls and encrypted network transport where supported by the relevant service.

No mobile application, network transmission or storage environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your operating system and App version updated and protect access to your device.

16. Children’s Privacy

Nidaa may be useful to families, but we do not knowingly use the App to solicit unnecessary personal information from children. The App's data collection should remain limited to what is needed for the enabled functionality and any applicable advertising/platform requirements.

Where child-directed or age-sensitive rules apply, we aim to comply with applicable platform and privacy requirements. Parents or guardians who believe that personal information relating to a child has been processed inappropriately may contact us using the details below.

17. International Data Transfers

Nidaa may rely on technology providers or infrastructure located outside your country. This means some information may be processed internationally when you use online features, advertising, analytics, purchases, support or content delivery.

Where required by applicable data-protection law, appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are used for international transfers.

18. Your Privacy Rights and Controls

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent.

You can also control certain processing directly through:

  • Android or iOS location-permission settings;
  • notification-permission settings;
  • advertising/tracking/privacy settings provided by your device or platform;
  • Nidaa's in-app prayer, location, reminder and privacy settings where available;
  • clearing the App's local storage where appropriate;
  • the Data Deletion / Privacy Request form in Section 19;
  • emailing info@lenatekyazilim.com.

We may ask for limited information necessary to verify a privacy request, especially where responding could disclose information, affect a purchase or delete data linked to a specific device, identifier or transaction.

19. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests

You may request deletion of data associated with your use of Nidaa. The current public App disclosure indicates that users can request data deletion.

Local data

Many Nidaa preferences may be stored locally. Depending on your device and App version, local information can generally be removed by using any available in-app reset/delete option, clearing Nidaa's storage from your device settings or uninstalling the App.

Data handled by us or our service providers

If you want us to delete data that may be associated with an App/device identifier, support request, purchase record or other identifier that we can reasonably identify, submit a request below or contact us by email.

What we will do

  • review the request and identify data that can reasonably be linked to the information you provide;
  • request additional verification where necessary to avoid deleting another person's data;
  • delete or anonymize applicable data that we are required to delete;
  • where applicable, instruct relevant service providers acting on our behalf to delete covered data;
  • inform you if certain information must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction or compliance reasons.

Data that may remain after a deletion request

Limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for accounting, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, purchase validation or the protection of legal rights. Data controlled independently by Google Play, Apple, an advertising provider or another third party may need to be managed through that provider's own privacy controls.

Request processing

We aim to respond to verified privacy and deletion requests without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law. Processing may take longer where verification is necessary, a request is complex or certain records are subject to lawful retention obligations.

20. Third-Party Platforms and Service Providers

Depending on platform, App version, country and enabled features, Nidaa may interact with third-party services for app distribution, advertising, payments, analytics, diagnostics, cloud infrastructure, content delivery or other technical functions.

These may include categories such as:

  • Google Play / Google Play services for Android distribution, purchases and platform functionality;
  • Apple App Store / Apple services where an iOS version is distributed;
  • Advertising SDK providers where advertising is enabled;
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers where such tools are active;
  • Hosting or content-delivery providers for online content such as Quran audio or other remote resources.

Third parties may process information under their own privacy policies when they act as independent controllers or platform providers. We encourage you to review the privacy information of the operating system, app store and service providers you use.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Nidaa's features, permissions, SDKs, data practices, legal requirements or app-store rules change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when the Policy is updated.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing takes effect.
